Biography

Simon is a catchment system scientist whose research interests include the evaluation of soil erosion at field and catchment scale, sediment and pollutant source tracing, and the reconstruction of historic pollutant dynamics, land degradation and sediment yields. Simon has extensive knowledge of sediment source fingerprinting and tracer analysis. He is skilled in the use of ARCGIS and programming in R. Working with Adie Collins, Simon has recently undertaken a study testing on-farm interventions for diffuse pollution reduction in the national Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) programme.
