The big picture: using wildflower strips for pest control
Sustainable Soils and Crops
Marieme is a PhD student from Cranfield University and Rothamsted Research. She is interested in soil fertility and crop physiological and molecular responses to applied fertiliser.
She is currently working on the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) of fertiliser. Specifically, Marieme is looking at enhanced efficiency fertiliser including the efficacy of urease and nitrification inhibitors in improving NUE and reducing ammonia and nitrous oxide gas emissions under conditions relevant to Sub-Saharan Africa.
Her PhD project is part of a collaborative Training Partnership between Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Cranfield University and Rothamsted Research, funded by OCP Group.
