Biography
Kevin's key expertise is in environmental modelling, agro-ecosystem cycling, focusing on carbon cycling. He has more than 25 years' experience in soil modelling research and is the main developer and programmer of the Rothamsted carbon model (RothC) and the Rothamsted sub-soil carbon model (RothPC). Kevin has expertise in modelling the turnover of organic carbon in the soil at plot, field, regional, national and global scales, and in using models to assess the impact of land use, management and climate change on the levels of soil organic matter. He is currently developing novel mathematical models and tools to quantify the sustainability of agroecosystems.
