Catherine Fearnhead

Cathy is a qualified librarian with a Diploma in Information Science and is the Senior Library Assistant for Library & Information Services (LIS) at Rothamsted. She has been working at Rothamsted for over 30 years, having first been employed as an industrial placement student in the Soils Department as part of her BSC (Hons) Environmental Studies course at the University of Hertfordshire. Prior to joining Rothamsted she was a Scientific Officer in the Pesticide Registration Department at the former Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Foods (MAFF) site in Harpenden. Her current responsibilities include operational management of the various LIS print collections and undertaking the various associated acquisition, cataloguing, circulation and stock review duties. She also runs the LIS document delivery service, assisting with Institutional metadata tasks and provide first-line enquiry support.
