Plant Sciences for the Bioeconomy
Ange is a bioinformatician working in the Green Engineering Institute Strategic Programme. He has a PhD in Plant Sciences and Biotechnology from Jeonbuk National University (South Korea). He has worked on genome assembly and annotation of oilseed crop species and has used large transcriptome data to decipher genes involved in the lignans biosynthesis pathway. His expertise includes bash, R and python scripting, data analysis and visualization. He has worked with polyploid plant genomes and conducted comparative genomics to decipher speciation events within a species complex.
His research focuses on the development of efficient workflows, multi-omics data integration and analysis. He is responsible for the management, processing and analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, lipidomic and proteomic data from oilseed crops to support the development of high value plant products and germplasm for nutrition, health and more sustainable agronomy.
