With the growing capabilities of tech companies such as Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon as well as significant investment from countries around the world, the potential of AI to transform society is revolutionary. As the number of applications of machine learning continues to grow, many are now asking how it can be used to help society adapt to climate change. In this talk, Dr Joe Gallear will be demystifying how AI works and how it is currently being applied by climate researchers to aid adaptation efforts around the world.
