The big picture: using wildflower strips for pest control
Visual artist Hugo Dalton has been working with Rothamsted Research since 2017. The first part of this collaboration was exhibited at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, 2018.
He is currently a developing a new series of artworks based around various aspects of Rothamsted’s research programme.
Dalton’s works find their origins in drawing from life. Working with pencil on paper he looks to capture the energy in any given situation allowing it to take on new life and find visual form. Dalton’s works on paper have evolved into light drawings, wall paintings and sculptures.
He also has an ongoing project with the Metrological Department at the University of Reading and The Royal Collection Trust to create pop up exhibitions in Care Homes in the UK.
